Keeping your beer fresh

March 1st, 2019

Customers often ask: How long does the beer typically stay carbonated if you are mainly using the carbonation of the beer itself mainly to dispense the beer?

We have users that report the beer remaining fresh and carbonated for over two months.  I normally don’t keep my beer around that long, but because you are using CO2, via the injector, you are able to maintain pressure and carbonation over time.  There is no oxygen being allowed into the system, much like a keg, and the carbonation/CO2 does not get released as it does in a growler, so it stays fresh.

We’ve got a Dragon’s Milk clone we brewed a few years ago and are still pouring off of it today. Tasty, carbonated and fresh, but aging nicely.
