BIAB – All Grain Homebrewing made Simple!
August 1st, 2013
We’ve been experimenting since the NHC 2012 to learn how to brew in bag, with inspiration from Brad Smith, BeerSmith, at session he led at the conference. We have a small space and wanted to switch from partial extract to all grain. BIAB seemed perfect. We have invested hours and many gallons of beer over the last 12 months. It seems like we’ve thrown more out than we’ve consumed but with each brew we learn something new… so the next batch should be perfect! We decided along this journey to focus on one style until we get it right. We selected a basic American Amber and are of course keeping notes along the way in our brewing notebook. We’ve got a batch in the refrigerator with about a week to go on the 30 day aging and need to schedule our next brew soon. We’ll let you know how it turns out.
