Alternative Uses – Kombucha

Brewing Tools has two unique customers in California… those who brew Kombucha.  What is Kombucha? Kombucha originated 2000 years ago in Northeast China and later spread to Russia, Europe and then to the rest of the world.

Kombucha is produced by fermenting tea and sugar using a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast (scoby).

One of the main ingredients of Kombucha is Probiotics, which are beneficial bacteria necessary for adequate digestion and absorption of nutrients.  They are viable micro organisms that improve gut microflora be secreting enzymes, organic acids, vitamins, and nontoxic antibacterial substances once ingested.
